Young Climate Authors: Educator Training Program

The Educator Training program equips adults to conduct the Young Climate Authors in their communities by providing an overview of Climate Change & Climate Justice, Project Based Learning & mentoring children's book-authoring. Participants will customize the YCA to create their own place-based & contextualized lesson plans. The cherry on the cake - a participant authored climate story, complete with illustrations, design and published as an ebook! The program has been conducted with over 30 educators across 10 countries across 3 continents. 


About the Instructor:


Aneesa is a CEE-Change Fellow at the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) & a Global Fellow at the Center for Climate Literacy, University of Minnesota. Aneesa holds micro-credentials from the Civic Ecology Lab at Cornell University, NatGeo & The Circle.  She is currently completing her certification for PBL Design from PBLWorks, Climate Stories Ambassadorship & Climate Interactive's En-Roads Ambassadorship. An alumna of Smith College, USA & an MBA from the University of Washington, she is currently pursuing her PhD in Education at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
